CUET Exam Overview

As per the official notification released by the NTA for CUET UG 2024, the CUET exam will have three sections. The CUET exam pattern has stayed consistent since CUET 2022 and will remain the same for CUET 2024 as well.

Candidates have the flexibility to choose a minimum of three and a maximum of six subjects from these three sections.

  • Section I: Languages
    • 1A – 13 Languages
    • 1B – 20 Languages
  • Section II: 27 Domain-specific Subjects
  • Section III: General Test

CUET 2024 Syllabus

CUET Syllabus 2024 - Language Test

Section I of the CUET Exam comprises a total of 33 languages, further divided into two subsections (IA and IB). In this section, students' ability and fluency in their chosen languages are tested via a variety of questions asked - ranging from Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages—Factual, Literary, and Narrative), grammar and vocabulary, books and authors, literary aptitude, and more.

CUET 2024 Syllabus: Domain Subjects

As per the official notification of the NTA, the CUET syllabus for domain-specific subjects has been the same since the inception edition of CUET in 2022. The CUET 2024 syllabus for the domain subject chosen will remain the same for the year 2024, which is the NCERT syllabus for Class XII for that subject.

There are 27 subjects in Section II, which are classified as Domain Subjects and Additional Subjects, as illustrated in the table below:
