BHU UG Admission 2024

The university participated in the inceptional edition of CUET in 2022, and later in 2023, and is confirmed to participate in CUET 2024 as well. The sole gateway to BHU is now through CUET. The university will only accept the CUET scorecard of a candidate for BHU UG admission.
Though there is no official announcement regarding the CUET 2024 form or the BHU UG admission process for 2024, it will be declared soon. BHU UG Admission: Reservation Policy

There are 45+ Central Universities that are expected to participate in CUET, and BHU is one among them. Since it is a Central University, it offers reservations in admissions according to rules laid out by the central government. The rules are as follows:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for students who belong to the SC category.
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to the ST category.
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27% of the total intake is reserved for students from the OBC-NCL category.
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS):The University has reserved 10% of seats for the EWS category, in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Education.
  • Persons with Disability (PWD):5% of the seats are reserved on a horizontal basis for students from the PWD category.
