BHU UG Admission: Reservation Policy
There are 45+ Central Universities that are expected to participate in CUET, and BHU is one among them. Since it is a Central University, it offers reservations in admissions according to rules laid out by the central government. The rules are as follows:
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for students who belong to the SC category.
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to the ST category.
- Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27% of the total intake is reserved for students from the OBC-NCL category.
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS):The University has reserved 10% of seats for the EWS category, in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Education.
- Persons with Disability (PWD):5% of the seats are reserved on a horizontal basis for students from the PWD category.
